Baseball

Baseball is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams, each consisting of nine players. It takes place on a diamond-shaped field with four bases arranged in a square. The objective of the game is for players on the batting team to score runs by hitting a pitched ball and running around the bases to return to home plate. The opposing team, known as the fielding team, aims to prevent runs by catching the ball, throwing it to bases, and getting batters out. The game is divided into nine innings, with each team having a chance to bat and field in each inning. The team with the most runs at the end of the game wins. Baseball is known for its rich history, cultural significance, and is often referred to as “America’s pastime.” It involves various strategies, such as pitching techniques, batting styles, defensive formations, and base running, making it a complex and engaging sport.
