Volleyball

Volleyball is a team sport played by two teams, usually consisting of six players each, who are separated by a high net. The objective of the game is to score points by hitting a ball over the net and landing it in the opposing team’s court. Players can use any part of their bodies to strike the ball, but it must not be held or carried.

The game is played in sets, and a team wins a set by reaching a predetermined number of points, typically 25, with a margin of at least two points. Volleyball can be played indoors or on the beach, with variations such as indoor volleyball and beach volleyball. The sport emphasizes teamwork, coordination, and strategy, as players must work together to defend their court, set up attacks, and score points against their opponents. Volleyball is governed by international rules established by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB).
